PlayOver ("we", "our", or "us") is a product of KHughes Consulting Inc. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the PlayOver apps and services.
We collect limited, anonymous usage data to help us understand how PlayOver is used and to improve the app. This includes:
This analytics data is collected through PostHog and is associated only with the random, anonymous device identifier described above. Our analytics do not include the specific links or songs you convert. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information, and we never sell your data.

We do not sell, rent, or share this data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
On Windows and Mac, PlayOver monitors your clipboard for music links. It reads clipboard content only to check whether it is a recognisable music link. Non-music clipboard content is immediately discarded and never stored or transmitted. On iOS and Android, PlayOver processes links only when you explicitly initiate a conversion via the Share Sheet or share menu.
PlayOver stores a local history of links you have converted. This history is stored only on your device and is never uploaded to our servers or shared with anyone. You can clear your history at any time from within the app.
To convert a link, the app sends it to our conversion service (and, where applicable, to Odesli) so we can find the matching song on other platforms. To make conversions faster for everyone, the resulting set of cross-platform links is stored in a shared cache, keyed by the song itself — not by you or your device. These cached entries contain only song link data, are identical regardless of who requests them, and are never associated with a user, device, or identifier.
As with any internet service, when the app contacts our conversion service the request includes your device's IP address, and our infrastructure providers (such as Cloudflare and Odesli) may receive it in the course of delivering the request. We do not use your IP address to identify, profile, or track you, and it is not stored alongside the cached song data.

PlayOver is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of PlayOver after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
